Professional Invisible Doll Restorations
Nancy loved dolls since her childhood years, but inheriting her husband's grandmother's doll and his mother's, woke up her dormant affair with antique and vintage dolls. She started collecting the dolls of her childhood and added her children's dolls as her passion started flourishing.
She started researching invisible repairs to restore the well played 1910 doll that had already had two unsuccessful restorations - in New York once in the 30's and again in the 70's. Nancy found the expertise of Janie Nafsinger and tested her skills with Grandma's doll. After engaging the services of Janie, she decided to follow her passion and spend time learning the craft from Janie.
We created our repair studio in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth. State of the art techniques and specially made equipment to repair antique, composition and vintage dolls from the 1800's to the 1950's.
The process starts with contacting Nancy though email and sending pictures of the patient. Once the level of treatment is identified, a proper estimate is done. Once the doll is in her hands, the evaluation of the patient's needs is confirmed. Any changes are noted and agreed upon. The restoration process is then effected and documented. Total satisfaction is the only goal.
